On the morning of September 10, the General Election and 2nd Member Congress of Jiaozuo Intellectual Property Protection Chamber of Commerce was solemnly held at Jiaozuo Guest Hotel.

The congress successfully elected the new session of the Council and leading members. Li Shijiang, Chairman of Do-Fluoride, was re-elected President by virtue of his profound accumulation in the field of intellectual property and industry influence.

The whole meeting received great attention and strong support from the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government, which not only highlighted the core position of intellectual property protection in the overall economic development of Jiaozuo, but also further demonstrated the key value of the Chamber of Commerce in “protecting innovation and connecting government and enterprises”.

The Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government have always taken intellectual property protection as a strategic starting point to promote innovation-driven development and industrial upgrading.

Li Yibo, Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, personally visited the China National Intellectual Property Administration in Beijing to strive for policy resources and professional guidance for Jiaozuo, planning the city’s intellectual property cause through top-level connection;

Liu Bing, Mayor, went deep into frontline enterprises for research and issued special instructions on the general election of the Chamber of Commerce, requiring relevant departments to fully ensure a fair and standardized election process with practical and efficient results;

Xue Zhijie, Vice Mayor, attended the congress in person, guiding the future work of the Chamber of Commerce through policy interpretation and development expectations;

The United Front Work Department of the Municipal Party Committee strictly reviewed the election plan, making overall planning in terms of team structure and functional positioning to ensure that the new Chamber of Commerce team is both capable and service-oriented.

Leaders at all levels worked together to form an IP protection pattern featuring “government attention, departmental coordination and full support”, laying a solid foundation for the development of the Chamber of Commerce.

At the general election meeting, all agendas were compact, orderly, practical and efficient.

Member representatives deliberated and adopted the Chamber of Commerce work report, financial report and newly revised articles of association item by item, clearly sorting out past work results and defining development goals for the next five years.

In the election session, members of the new Council were successfully elected through standardized procedures such as secret ballot and competitive election.

Chairman Li Shijiang’s re-election stems not only from his practical experience in leading Do-Fluoride to break foreign technological blockades and realize the localization of key materials, but also from his consistent advocacy of the concept of “protecting enterprise development with intellectual property”, which has been highly recognized by all member enterprises.

In his statement speech, the Chairman profoundly explained the great significance of intellectual property protection from three dimensions: “national strategy, urban development and enterprise survival”.

He pointed out that with the increasingly fierce international scientific and technological competition, intellectual property has become a “core weapon” to break technological hegemony and ensure national scientific and technological self-reliance and self-improvement;

For Jiaozuo, strengthening IP protection is a “key move” to attract innovative resources, enhance industrial competitiveness and achieve high-quality transformation;

For enterprises, intellectual property is the “lifeline” for survival and development. Relying on more than 1,000 independently developed patents and a rigorous IP protection system, Do-Fluoride successfully broke the foreign monopoly of lithium hexafluorophosphate, electronic-grade hydrofluoric acid and other products, realizing the leap from “following” to “leading”.

The Chairman emphasized that the Chamber of Commerce will transform Do-Fluoride’s practical experience into service resources, help more enterprises establish IP risk prevention and control mechanisms, avoid detours in technological R&D and market expansion, and make innovative achievements a real “hard support” for enterprise development.

For the future development of the Chamber of Commerce, the Chairman put forward the work direction of “Three Focuses” to further strengthen the core functions of “protecting the foundation and building bridges”.

First, focus on “protecting innovation”: set up a professional service team to provide member enterprises with full-chain services such as patent application, rights protection assistance and infringement response, so as to protect enterprises’ innovative achievements from infringement;

The successful holding of this general election marks that Jiaozuo Intellectual Property Protection Chamber of Commerce has entered a new stage of “improving quality and efficiency and empowering development”.

Under the strong leadership of the Municipal Party Committee and Municipal Government and the leadership of President Li Shijiang, the Chamber of Commerce will take as its mission “protecting the’spark’ of innovation to strengthen industrial foundation, building a ‘bridge’ between government and enterprises to promote high-quality development”. It will unite member enterprises, transform the “soft power” of IP protection into the “hard power” of industrial development, and inject strong intellectual property impetus into Jiaozuo’s construction of an innovative city and high-quality economic development.

In the future, with the continuous improvement of the Chamber of Commerce service system and the deepening of government-enterprise coordination mechanism, Jiaozuo will surely become an industrial highland with gathering innovative talents, emerging innovative achievements and excellent innovation environment, providing a “Jiaozuo Model” for IP protection and economic transformation and development in the Central Plains region.

After the meeting, Ran Congjing, a professor from Wuhan University, was specially invited to give a special training lecture entitled “Strategies and Paths of University-Local Cooperation to Promote the Development of Artificial Intelligence + Industry in Jiaozuo”.

Focusing on the actual industrial needs of Jiaozuo and combining the application trend of artificial intelligence technology, the course provided systematic guidance and practical paths for the local area to promote the implementation of “Artificial Intelligence +” through university-local cooperation, winning high recognition from the audience.
