The great love of DFD is not just a slogan, but a cultural gene deeply ingrained in our blood; dedication is not a momentary impulse, but a steadfast footstep taken for over two decades. From one person to over two thousand, from one donation to twenty-two life relays, the Party Committee of the Group, with a high degree of political consciousness and profound humanistic care, has made the public welfare cause of hematopoietic stem cells a golden signboard for corporate spiritual civilization construction, singing a song of praise for the era, “Great love molds the soul, blood ties convey affection.”.
DFD’s journey towards public welfare began with an ordinary employee, Comrade Ren Kangzhan. In those days, hematopoietic stem cell donation was still an unfamiliar and even feared concept for most people, with numerous misunderstandings and concerns. However, Comrade Ren Kangzhan, filled with reverence for life, resolutely rolled up his sleeves and became a pioneer in bone marrow donation for public welfare in DFD and even the Jiaozuo region. Although that tiny light was small, it was enough to illuminate the path ahead.
In 2021, under the overall coordination and promotion of the Party Committee of the Group, the first corporate volunteer service team for hematopoietic stem cell donation in Henan Province was officially established. This marks a milestone in DFD’s public welfare undertakings, indicating that we have elevated hematopoietic stem cell donation from an individual’s spontaneous behavior to an organizational conscious action. The Party Committee of the Group regards this work as an important means of empowering public welfare through Party building, incorporating it into the core content of corporate spiritual civilization construction. It regularly organizes centralized sampling, public welfare lectures, and knowledge dissemination, and has carried out ten large-scale collective sampling activities.
In DFD, the inheritance and promotion of the spirit of great love cannot be separated from the exemplary leadership of the enterprise’s leaders and the strong guidance of the party organization. As the party secretary, I am not only an advocate and promoter of public welfare undertakings, but also require myself to practice it personally. I use my own words and deeds to interpret what is the social responsibility of entrepreneurs and what is the original mission of communists. Li Yunfeng, chairman of DFD, actively practices the corporate public welfare concept through action, voluntarily signing up to join the Chinese bone marrow bank, and setting an example for employees with the exemplary role of an enterprise manager.
The numbers speak for themselves: 2,085 employees have proudly joined the China Marrow Donor Program, and 22 have successfully donated hematopoietic stem cells. These two sets of figures firmly establish DFD as the “double benchmark” among private enterprises nationwide, with the highest number of participants in the marrow donor program and the highest number of successful donors. This is not only a source of pride for DFD, but also a vivid epitome of Chinese private enterprises fulfilling their social responsibilities and embracing their humanitarian mission.
